Our new targets for 2009-10
In 2009-10, we will continue and build upon our successful work within the criminal, family and mental health justice systems.
Our targets for 2009-10 are:
(1) To improve the client's experience and the efficiency of the justice system by working closely with our justice system partners to address these specific issues:
- improve the efficiency of police station advice and assistance by reducing the percentage of unanswered calls from CDS Direct by 10%
- increase the number of refuges with access to family and/or social welfare law advice for domestic abuse survivors by 10%
- identify the extent of innappropriate use of mediation exemption reasons to increase the potential use of mediation to benefit the client
- reduce the number of adjournments that can be classified as 'potentially unnecessary' at first-tier tribunal (mental health) by 30%.
(2) To maintain existing membership of Local Family Justice Councils and Local Criminal Justice Boards and attend at least 90% of meetings.
