Stage 1 – Bills submissions moved to LSC online

During stage 1 civil and crime bill submissions will become eForms.

eForms are the online versions of some paper forms already used by providers but with added features to simplify and speed up the process. The eForms developed for Stage 1 are listed below.

Civil

CLS Claim 1, 1a, 2 (a single eForm incorporating the three paper forms)
CLS POA 1

Crime

CDS 4
CDS 5 (incorporating CDS 1, 2 and 3)
CDS 7

Stage 2 –Client and Case Management System (CCMS)

The second stage of Delivery Transformation will be introduced in spring 2011.

It is looking at all processes associated with civil certificated legal aid. This covers all aspects from clients applying for legal aid through to providers claiming payment.

The system will include:

means assessment for civil representation
the application and amendment process for civil representation
the administration and calculation of contributions for civil legal aid
