Annual Report
After every financial year we publish an Annual Report showing our key achievements and performance against our corporate targets set out in our Strategic Plan.
We are required to publish an Annual Report under the Access to Justice Act 1999 that covers how we:
- funded services from the Community Legal Service Fund
- funded services as part of the Criminal Defence Service
- exercised our other functions.
It also contains our financial reports, audited by the National Audit Office.
Our Annual Report 2007/08, laid before Parliament and ordered to be published on 21 July, is now available under Documents.
A detailed statistical analysis of our work supplements our Annual Report and is also available under Documents.
Strategic Plan
Our Strategic Plan must be approved by the Lord Chancellor, published and laid before both Houses of Parliament. It is published once our budget has been agreed and includes:
- how we plan to use the resources of the Community Legal Service Fund and Criminal Defence Service Fund in the coming year
- our plans for developing the CLS and CDS over the next three years
- general information about our vision, corporate priorities and responsibilities.
The 2008-11 plan is under Documents.
