I want to tell someone about my experience
Do you want to give us feedback on your experience of the justice system?
If so, send it to our efficiencies team.
We are working with our partners in the crime, civil and family justice systems to improve efficiency, ensuring best possible value for money and an improved client experience.
You can read more about the work we are doing on the Improving efficiency pages.
We value your comments
To ensure we focus our resources on key issues and find the most effective solutions, we value feedback regarding your experience of the justice system, whether you are a legal aid service provider, client or a member of the public.
If you have a specific issue with a legal aid service provider please contact their relevant professional organisation.
How you should format your feedback
Please describe your ‘real-life’ experience from start to finish, as well as describing problems in general.
This will help us understand the situation and see where similar experiences occur.
The form under Documents will help you structure your feedback.
What will we do with the feedback?
Your feedback will help us develop a national overview of peoples’ experiences of the justice system.
We'll look at trends with:
Who are we interested in hearing from?
We are interested in hearing about all areas of the justice system:
- police
- courts
- tribunals
- prisons
- probation
- all categories of law, whether crime, civil or family.
What kind of comments are we looking for?
Details of both positive and negative experiences are valuable.
Negative experiences show us where we need to focus our efforts.
Positive feedback tells us what is going right and what we need to encourage.
How will we respond?
We will analyse trends resulting from the feedback received.
We will publish quarterly reports on actions we have taken on this website.
While we may respond to some feedback individually, we are not in a position to do this in every case.
