Midlands
The Legal Services Commission (LSC) is responsible for administering legal aid and providing two important public services, the Community Legal Services (CLS) and the Criminal Defence Service (CDS).
Lin Storey is the Regional Director responsible for the provision of both civil and criminal legal aid in the Midlands.
- The Birmingham regional office covers the counties: Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire. The Birmingham office is responsible for 235 crime suppliers and 328 civil suppliers (including 39 not-for-profit organisations).
- The Cambridge regional office covers the counties: Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The Cambridge office is responsible for 177 crime suppliers and 365 civil suppliers.
- The Nottingham regional office covers the counties: Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. The Nottingham office is responsible for 144 crime suppliers and 170 civil suppliers.
