Opening Times

In all offices telephone lines and reception open at 9am and close at 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Duty solicitor scheme

The duty solicitor service provides free advice and assistance at the police station and at court.

The service is provided by:

private firms of solicitors operating in the North region
the Public Defender Service.

Solicitors are allocated to the scheme on a rota basis.

Yorkshire & Humberside Regional CJS

CJS Meetings

Following feedback on the future role and structure of our Regional Defence Solicitor Committees, providers requested a forum to discuss and feedback on both LSC matters and matters pertaining to the wider justice system environment.

We hold meetings in each of the CJS areas, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Humberside.

All criminal contract holders are invited to send along a representative from your firm to your local meeting. However, places are limited.

Please email: leeds@legalservices.gov.uk to reserve your place, no later than a week before the meeting. Please also send any additional items for the agenda or other comments to this email address.
