National Carer's Week (Birmingham)
07 June 2007
During National Carers’ Week, we at the Legal Services Commission are keen to ensure that people who care for someone else have rights and access to advice.
We produce a leaflet called Dealing with someone else’s affairs, which is part of a series of legal information leaflets produced by Community Legal Service Direct, designed to ensure that people know their rights. The leaflet describes the arrangements that must be made to help with, or take over, the management of someone else’s affairs. It is written for relatives, friends and carers of people who can no longer cope on their own, but it may also be useful for people who want to prepare for a time when they may no longer be able to handle their affairs.
The leaflet is available online at http://www.clsdirect.org.uk/, or at your local Citizens Advice Bureau.
We believe timely information or advice reduces personal suffering and cost to the taxpayer. We work with partners in the community to deliver a range of legal services that help people to solve their problems, often in ways that avoid the time and expense of going to court.
Yours faithfully
Lin Storey
Regional Director
