Debate the future of legal aid at LSC staff roadshow

Our staff roadshow will be held on 15 June 2009 at International Hotel Docklands.
The big debate...
Part of the day will be dedicated to ’the big debate’ on the future of legal aid.
Could you help us by getting involved?
The motion up for debate is:
- This house believes that legal aid will flourish in the next 60 years and that it will continue to be a cornerstone of a free and democratic society.
The motion will be debated in front of approximately 200 LSC staff.
Your potential role in the debate
If you agree to help, you in your role as a legal services provider and a member of staff will form one team, against the motion.
David Wolfe, LSC Commissioner and a member of staff will form the other team, for the motion.
- The debate starts at approximately 1 pm and will finish by 3pm.
- You will need to prepare an argument against the motion that lasts 4 minutes.
- The LSC would really welcome your support.
- 'The big debate' has been enthusiastically received by attendees of the two roadshows in London that have already been held.
