Tenders invited for Community Legal Advice network in East Riding

The LSC and East Riding of Yorkshire Council have launched a joint tender for a new Community Legal Advice network.
About the network
The network is one of the first of its kind in the country and will offer joined-up legal and advice services to deal with people’s community care, debt, employment, housing and welfare benefits problems.
The network will provide an integrated and accessible service for clients across the whole of the East Riding.
It will cover generalist and specialist legal advice and representation.
People will have easy access to all the legal help they need on civil law problems, regardless of where they live.
Tenders invited
The LSC and the local council are inviting tenders from organisations or groups of organisations that can:
- provide quality services.
- deliver both general and more specialist advice in the social welfare categories of law.
This is to lessen client referral and alow more immediate action.
Who can apply?
This is an open tendering exercise and any organisation interested in providing the network services may apply, providing they meet the criteria set out in the Invitation to Tender.

A tender event will be held on 19 Aug 09 at which those interested in bidding can ask questions.
