The launch of our training contract grant scheme 2010 will fit with the bid rounds for the 2010 Unified Contract (Civil) and Unified Contract (Crime).

The bid rounds are due later this year.

Existing contracts will expire in 2010.

The bid rounds will provide opportunities for new and existing providers to bid fairly for legal aid work.

Making decisions easier

In early 2010 providers will have certainty about their contractual position with the us.

We are launching the training scheme then so providers can make decisions on:

• recruitment
• whether to apply for an LSC grant.

About the application process

The training contract grant scheme 2010 will launch in early 2010.

The application process is open to providers who get a 2010 Unified Contract (Civil) or Unified Contract (Crime).
