Civil case management - change in contact details

16 December 2009

All telephone queries on Civil certificated work to go to one number from February 2010

From 1 February 2010 telephone enquiries about Civil certificated work will go to one central number 0300 200 2020.

On dialling this number you will be given a list of options to direct you  through to one of four alternatives:

Some of you may notice some changes prior to 1 February, as we start diverting our existing numbers to the new platform from mid January 2010 onwards.

Please note this does not affect our Welsh language line (0845 609 9989) which will still continue to operate.

Urgent, non-urgent and postal queries

In order to manage the volume of calls we receive and ensure that we offer you the appropriate level of service at all times, we would very much appreciate you only contacting  us via telephone if their query is urgent and requires an immediate response.

For all non urgent queries please contact us via our email service. This applies for Civil Legal, Finance and Means queries requiring a response within 48 hours.

Our turnaround time for postal correspondence is 5 days.

Occasionally for more complex matters or where we require further information, we may need longer than this to provide a substantial response.

We will contact all correspondents to advise them of any delay and the reason for it.
