New schedules for April to October 2010
03 March 2010New contract schedules to be sent to providers shortly
On 10 March 2010 we will be sending out new contract schedules to current civil legal aid providers.
These new schedules will cover the period 1 April to 13 October 2010, when the current contract expires.
In line with our published position on allocation of NMS, the allocation of new matter starts for this schedule will be based on the individual provider’s usage during the period April 2009 to December 2009, which has then been used to give a projected usage figure for the whole financial year 2009-10.
This projected usage has been compared with the provider’s individual allocation as at 15 February 2010 and the NMS allocation has been calculated thus:
- All providers whose projected usage is over 100% of allocation will receive 100% of current active schedule allocation, divided pro rata to cover the 6.5 months of this new schedule.
- Those at less than 80% receive only 80% of their current active schedule allocation divided pro rata to cover the 6.5 months of this new schedule.
- Those between 80% and 100% receive their projected usage figure, divided pro rata to cover the 6.5 months of this new schedule.
Should you wish to discuss the terms of your schedule once you have received it, please do not hesitate to contact the regional contracting team responsible for managing your contract.
These schedules will only cover the period up to the end of the current contracts on 13 October 2010.
