Update on Civil 2010 Contracts tender process

18 August 2010

An important update for Providers

Mental Health- High Security Hospitals

On Tuesday 17 August we notified applicant organisations of the outcome of the tender process for delivering Mental Health services in High Security Hospitals.

Notifications were sent through the message board in the High Security Hospitals ITT in the eTendering system.

An FAQ document on Mental Health is available on the Mental Health tendering pages of our website.

Immigration and Asylum- Immigration Removal Centres

We have contacted some applicant organisations to request clarification of information submitted as part of tenders, and are now reviewing the further information received.
We intend to notify Applicant Organisations of the outcome late next week.

Notification will be sent through the Immigration Removal Centres ITT message boards in the eTendering system.

Low Volume Categories

We have contacted some applicant organisations to request clarification of information submitted as part of tenders, and are now reviewing the further information received.
We will start to notify Applicant Organisations of the outcome on Friday 20 August.

Notification will be sent through the relevant Low Volume Category ITT message boards in the eTendering system.

Appeals

We continue to receive queries relating to appeals, and appeals themselves. Please note that owing to the volume of queries we are not able to acknowledge appeals immediately. However, you can see in your “Sent Messages” list whether we have opened a message. We will respond as soon as we are able.

Rights of appeal for each tender process are set out in the relevant Information for Applicants.  Notification letters will set out where there is no right of appeal.

Applicants should submit their appeals in writing via the relevant eTendering message board. There is not a standard form available for appeals; instead applicants should set out the representations they wish to be considered on appeal.

Appeal deadlines are set out in your notification letter. We will not consider appeals until after the deadline, when we will consider them all together.

We cannot at this stage give precise timescales for considering appeals, as we do not yet know the final volumes, but we aim to have considered appeals a month after the relevant appeals deadline.

Verification Process

We have started to send out letters to Applicant Organisations who have been awarded contracts asking them to verify information submitted as part of the tender process and submit some additional information.

The letter will set out any additional information we need successful applicants to submit, and the timescales. If you have been awarded a contract, you will be sent a letter through the relevant message board in the eTendering system.

If you have any queries, please contact us through the message board.

Updates

We will continue to update the timetable on the main Civil Contracts for 2010 tendering page of our website with any further updates.
