Unified Contract specification - Mental Health category specific provisions
On this page:
About this consultation
When we consulted on the other sections of the Civil Specification, we said we would consult on the 'category specfic' section on Mental Health at a later date.
Following the announcement of the new fee scheme for Mental Health on 22 June 2007, we have now published for consultation the Mental Heath 'category specific' section of the Civil Specfication.
Subject to consultation, this section will replace the terms of the existing Mental Health 'category specific' section of the Unified Contract’s Specification with effect from 1 January 2008.
The main purpose of the new section is to give effect to the new civil fee schemes. The section therefore contains the proposed fees and detailed rules for undertaking Mental Health work.
The cover letter available from Related Documents outlines the specific areas on which we are seeking feedback. However, we also welcome feedback on any other issues raised by the detailed provisions of the draft Specification
We also encourage you to visit our Guidance on Funding Decisions page where you will find new guidance on funding cases before the Court of Protection under the Mental Health Incapacity Act 2005.
