About this consultation
Following our six week consultation on family and family mediation fee schemes, we have carefully considered all respondents' views and have published our response 'Family and Family Mediation Fee Schemes for October 2007' (see Related Documents).
The schemes and Funding Code changes will be implemented from October 2007 and will be introduced by regulations, as well as under the Unified Contract.

Changes to the Funding Code
Our consultation 'The Funding Criteria for Childcare Proceedings' covered:
- proposals of the removal of residential assessments from the scope of legal aid
- proposals on the introduction of a merits criteria for Special Children Act Proceedings.
Our response is included in our publication 'Family and Family Mediation Fee Schemes for October 2007'.
