"Welcome to the Leeds regional office which, along with our Newcastle office, makes up the North East region.
"We have a team of over 80 dedicated staff based in the office, which is located in the heart of Leeds city centre.
"In addition to managing legal aid contracts with our service providers throughout Yorkshire & Humberside, we are also a finance centre, managing the unrecouped payments on account and other finance related projects for the Commission. We are also home to the contract lawyers team and some members the complex crime unit.
"The large Yorkshire and Humberside region has a population of over five million people. As a consequence of the decline of traditional industries, the region has many urban areas with high levels of deprivation. This, coupled with large rural areas where there is significant hidden deprivation, brings challenging and exciting times to the regional office."

How to find us
Walking From Leeds City Station
- Turn right out of the New Station Street entrance, along New Station Street, passing NCP car park entrance, to the junction
- Turn right on to Boar Lane
- Turn right at the Sofa Workshop
- Go down Lower Briggate
- Cross at traffic lights
- Go straightforward along The Calls, keeping to the left hand side of the road
- Cross at traffic lights at junction of Call Lane and The Calls
- Harcourt House is on left, the building with red window frames
- Turn left into the courtyard and right to the main entrance.
