Replacing Tailored Fixed Fees

We have replaced Tailored Fixed Fees (TFF) with standard fees from 1st October 2007 for those categories of law not covered by a category-specific fee scheme.  The schemes apply to all cases started on or after 1st October 2007. 

For almost 70% of solicitors’ firms, the new fees represent an increase in the current average cost of the cases to which they will apply.

These fees were published in Legal Aid Reform: The Way Ahead in November 2006.

They are effective from 1 October 2007.
