Specialist telephone advice – Family advice pilot

Community Legal Service Direct is a free government-funded confidential advice service. It provides help and advice on a range of common legal problems through:

a national helpline 0845 345 4 345
a website

a series of free legal information leaflets.

The helpline receives in excess of 50,000 calls per month and offers means tested specialist advice, including casework, in debt, benefits and tax credits, education, housing and employment.

To increase the range of options available to callers the LSC will be piloting the provision of family advice through the CLS Direct helpline and would like to invite interested organisations to tender.

The deadline for applications has now closed. The closing date was 30 March 2007.
