Update 19th Sept 2008
A revised tender timetable and an amendment to Essential Criterion B has now been published and can be found in the documents panel on the right hand side of this page. You will be aware that the LSC has recently invited tender bids for the delivery of Housing Possession Court Duty Schemes in specific courts across England.
Regrettably the assessment process has taken longer than we initially anticipated and we were not in a position to update applicants on 19th Sept 08 as planned.
All organisations that tendered to provide these services will now be advised of the outcome of its tender on 26th September.
Unfortunately, the delay to finalising the outcome of this invitation to tender also affects Essential Criterion B and therefore under paragraph 4.4 we have amended this criterion to permit the service to commence from 17 November 2008.

More about the schemes
Successful organisations will deliver housing advice under a scheme for clients who are listed to attend the county court about possession proceedings and have not had advice prior to the hearing.
They offer on-the-day advice and advocacy to clients who have a hearing listed at court. This is irrespective of eligibility under means and merits tests.
All organisations must ensure cover is provided at court on all the days the possession hearings are heard.
About the tender process
This is an open tender process. Organisations wishing to tender do not need to be current providers and new entrants to the market are welcome.
Full details of how to tender for this work are set in the information for applicants under Documents.
All tenders should be submitted on the tender form (see Documents). This sets out the essential and selection criteria against which tenders will be assessed.
