Money advice outreach

We are exploring different ways of money advice outreach in areas of high financial exclusion. Our proposed pilot scheme will provide debt advice and legal services in places that clients use and visit, but not usually to access such services. The scheme will offer:

a general help service
casework in areas of debt and welfare benefits
appropriate referral mechanisms to direct clients requiring advice in other areas of social welfare law.

The contract will be for an initial period concluding 31 March 2008. The contract start date decision is dependent on the quality of the bids received and the ability of organisations to initiate delivery.
