About this tender

Portsmouth City Council and the LSC are jointly commissioning and funding the Portsmouth Community Legal Advice Centre.

The Centre will provide an accessible, independent, quality assured and integrated general and specialist legal advice and representation service for people in Portsmouth.

About the tender process

Tenders are invited from organisations, or groups of organisations working together, that can supply general and specialist legal advice and representation in social welfare and family law.

Applicants must be able to set up and deliver services that meet the needs of the people of Portsmouth.

The pre-tender stage for comments, questions, or requests for clarification closed at 12 noon on Thursday 18 October 2007. Answers to all of the questions received during this period can be found in the Question and Answers document to the right of this page.

The closing date for submission of Full Tender Applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 12 December 2007.

Important: Notice of Amendment

Potential applicants please note the following amendments to the Information For Applicants (IFA) document and Application Form for this tender.

IFA, Section I: Putting in a bid - the application process: Pages 32 and 33 - amendment to the 'Evidence' column for Essential Criteria no. 2.
Application Form: Questions D3, D4 and D5 under Section D: Essential Criteria for Selection of Applicant have been moved to Section E: Desirable Criteria for Selection of Applicant. All other questions in Sections D and E have been re-numbered accordingly.

All tender documents have been updated and are available from the Portsmouth City Council website. The LSC and Portsmouth City Council apologise for any confusion or inconvenience caused by these amendments.

However, we believe the amendments are necessary to ensure clarity for potential bidders.
