Tenders for 2010 standard crime contract

10 December 2009

Applications invited for new contract that will run from July 2010

The current criminal contract will expire in July 2010.

We will be inviting applications in January 2010 for the replacement - “the 2010 Standard Crime Contract” - that will run from July 2010 for a three year term (subject to early termination or extension by up to two years).

We are publishing the final draft IFA document today (10th December) and the final draft of the 2010 Standard Crime Contract tomorrow (11th December) so that providers have an opportunity to review these documents and start to prepare themselves for the tender processes.

Also publishing the IFA in advance means that if the IFA prompt any queries we will be able to issue guidance before the tender processes commence.

Please note that we may need to make alterations to the IFA in advance of formal publication in January 2010 to address any provider queries and the outcomes of the outstanding MoJ consultations.

In addition, we may need to make changes to the 2010 Standard Crime Contract to take into account the outcomes of the outstanding MoJ consultations. Any such changes will be made before the tender processes commence.

We do not expect to make any material changes to the 2010 Standard Crime Contract once the tender processes have begun.
