Litigator Graduated Fee Scheme – PPE guidance

05 August 2010

Update following comments in R v Ibefune

In the case of R v. Ibefune, Master Rogers commented that the LSC’s guidance note covering Pages of Prosecution Evidence (PPE) was ‘potentially misleading’.

We have, therefore, reviewed and updated the guidance note to provide further clarification of the LSC’s position. It also includes additional context regarding Master Gordon-Saker's decision in the case of R v Gkampos.

Although the guidance note has been amended, the LSC’s process for validating PPE remains unchanged.  It remains a mandatory requirement that claims for PPE must be supported by objective evidence as set out in the LGFS guidance.
