HM Prison Service published a good practice guide for prison visits in October 2007. 

We would like your views on how effective the guidance has been in improving legal visits and your feedback will help us decide what further work we need to do with the Prison Service to ensure prison visits are efficient and effective.

The online system is efficient and easy to use and we've received positive feedback from people who have used it so far. We do ask people to register, but you only need to it once - this allows us to verify your email addresses to minimise fraud.
