Since July 2008, crime providers have been operating under the same set of Standard Terms as civil providers, as contained within the Unified Contract (Crime) July 2008.

Consultation proposes new arrangements

Today we launched a 12-week consultation Civil Bid Rounds for 2010 Contracts.

The paper details a number of proposals for the way that we procure and operate civil contracts from 2010. 

How does this affect crime providers?

However, Section 8 of this consultation proposes important changes to the Unified Contract Standard Terms, which will also impact on crime providers.

We encourage those interested in the crime contract, especially crime providers, to consider and comment on these proposals as part of this civil consultation exercise.
