More defendants looking for advice in police stations
03 November 2008LSRC report reveals defendant trends
Research published today suggests that more defendants are seeking advice in police stations. The interim report, users' perspectives of defence services in the criminal justice system, has been produced by the Legal Services Research Centre (LSRC).
The work focused on the experience of people accused of crimes as they go through the criminal justice system (CJS), between February and April 2008, and was produced with the help of CJS partners in police stations and magistrates' courts.
Please refer to a Q&A document on the research, or the research paper itself, for further information.
