The Crown Court means testing team will be hosting nine 'engage events' with litigators and advocates, helping them provide more information about Crown Court means testing and discuss the proposed business processes in detail.
The events
The engage events are planned for August and September - during the course of a 12-week consultation on the regulations required to implement Crown Court means testing, which opens on 13 July 2009.
The events will be held in all the five early adopter Crown Courts:
- Preston
- Blackfriars
- Norwich
- Swansea
- and Bradford
plus four others:
- Newcastle
- Chester
- Bristol
- and Derby
Dates
The dates are:
- Preston Crown Court: Wednesday 19 August
- Newcastle Crown Court: Tuesday 25 August
- Chester Crown Court: Wednesday 26 August
- Bristol Crown Court: Thursday 27 August
- Blackfriars Crown Court: Wednesday 2 September
- Derby Crown Court: Thursday 3 September
- Norwich Crown Court: Monday 7 September
- Swansea Crown Court: Tuesday 8 September
- Bradford Crown Court: Thursday 10 September
