Final chance to volunteer for the Quality Assurance for Advocates research pilot
22 July 2009Your chance to make sure that any final scheme is fair for all advocates
This research pilot is testing possible assessment methods for quality assuring criminal advocates.
This is the last chance for solicitors and barristers to register to take part.
More about the research pilot
The pilot began in February and will end in August 2009 and advocates from across the country can participate.
We have developed the scheme over the past 2 years in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the professions.
Who can take part?
It is critical that solicitors and barristers of all levels of experience take part so we can make sure that any final scheme is fair for all advocates.
There is a particular need for volunteers to take part from the following groups:
- women
- black and minority ethnic advocates
- advocates who work part-time or with caring responsibilities
- advocates with a disability or health problem.
The pilot will help us to properly test and evaluate the impacts on these groups and make the necessary adjustments in any final proposals.
I'm interested - what do I do?
To take part or for more information please:
- contact Sinead Reynolds (Tel: 020 7783 7421)
- email the Quality Assurance for Advocates team
