About the Specialist Fraud Panel

The LSC set up a specialist panel of solicitors to:

control defence costs in very high cost criminal fraud cases
ensure defendants receive quality representation from firms with relevant expertise.

Only panel members can run very high cost criminal fraud cases. Non members cannot accept potential VHCC fraud cases.

If approached, non members must provide clients with the Specialist Fraud Panel member’s list (in the Documents panel on the right hand side of the page).

If a non member does not pass a case on to a member they run the risk of not being remunerated for their work.

Who can apply?

From the start of the VHCC Panel, applications to the Specialist Fraud Panel will no longer be accepted.
