Quality Relationships Delivering Quality Outcomes
In Quality Relationships Delivering Quality Outcomes - The Preferred Supplier Scheme: Response to Consultation, we set out our proposals for implementing the Preferred Supplier scheme.
We consulted on these in the context of our legal aid reform programme.
Key elements of Preferred Supplier to be integrated into other reforms
We have reviewed these plans in the light of our reform programme and future delivery plans.
We have taken key elements of the Preferred Supplier approach and integrated them into the reform programme. There is therefore no need to introduce a separate Preferred Supplier scheme as we had originally proposed.
Assessing and improving quality in the reformed legal aid system
Read the Assessing And Improving Quality In The Reformed Legal Aid System policy paper for details of how the key elements of the original Preferred Supplier proposals will be integrated in the new reform framework.
The paper and a Q&A is on the CLS> Quality and performance page.
For more information
View or download our policy paper on assuring and improving quality and supporting Q&As on the Quality and performance pages under the CLS and CDS menus.
Read more detail on our reform programme on the About us>Transforming legal aid pages.
