Quality assurance scheme for advocates

About this consultation
This joint MoJ/LSC consultation seeks views on proposals to develop a quality assurance pilot scheme for all publicly funded criminal defence advocates working in the crown courts and above.
The proposals draw on discussions and workshops involving the professions and judiciary.
The proposals are as a result of Lord Carter of Coles recommendation 5.3 in his Independent Review of Legal Aid Procurement.
We will publish a preliminary Impact Assessment by the end of June.
