Amendment to selection criteria
In Annex C: Information for Applicants we describe the maximum number of VHCCs an applicant can bid for. under “Size of bids” on page 8. This is also explained in section 5.2.1 of the consultation paper.
This should have been reflected in essential criteria in the Selection Criteria Table on page 24 of the Information for Applicants. In error it is presently included under desirable criteria on page 26.
We intend to include the requirement not to exceed the maximum bid in the essential criteria when the Information for Applicants is issued as part of the application pack.

Extended closing date for comments on the draft contract
Following a request from the Law Society we extended the closure date for consultation on the draft VHCC contract by two weeks to 25 May 2007. This is to give all the Representative Bodies time to respond fully.
To accommodate this:
- the start of the panel application period will need to be delayed by ten working days to Tuesday 5 June 2007
- the panel application period will need to close one week later than planned. The closing date will now be 27 July 2007.

Response to consultation

Invitation to tender for the Very High Cost Cases (Crime) Best Value Panel
