The 2010 Standard Crime Contract introduces new arrangements for Prison Law work, including the Prison Law supervisor standard and a system of fixed and standard fees.

Prison law training: the 2010 Standard Crime Contract

We are running training events for providers that have been awarded Prison Law contracts as part of the recent tender for the 2010 Standard Crime Contract.

What does the training cover?

This practical training will help you to understand the new Prison Law contract. This session will focus on the rules for conducting prison law work, including the need to apply for prior authority for treatment cases and the way that the new fee schemes work.

Who should attend?

Prison Law supervisors, contract liaison managers, and partners with day-to-day responsibility for Prison Law. As only providers with Prison Law contracts will be able to undertake work under the new contract, firms without Prison Law contracts need not attend.

When is the training taking place?

We are running half-day sessions (morning and afternoon, starting at 10:00am and 2:00pm) on the following dates:

Please e-mail david.szaroleta@legalservices.gsi.gov.uk with the subject ‘Prison law training booking’, including the location and date you wish to attend and whether you want to come in the morning or afternoon.

Places are limited so please nominate one person to attend for your organisation. If you would like additional spaces please indicate how many people would like to attend and we will contact you if space is available.
