Important note:
We are currently reviewing the application and assessment process for the Quality Mark.
We plan to outsource the audit function for General Quality Mark (including with Casework and Telephone standards) to an external organisation.
We are currently focussing our audit resource on our contracted suppliers and those whose funding is contingent on the award of the Quality Mark.
We will also accept SQM applications from new entrants as part of any forthcoming registration process for bid rounds or new contract awards processes.
If your organisation does not fall into these categories, it is unlikely your application will be accepted or your organisation audited. We recommend you contact your LSC regional office to check the local position.
Application Pack
The Quality Mark Application Pack may be used to apply for certification at the Self-help and Assisted Information level, the General and the General with Casework levels.
The pack contains:
- the Quality Mark Standard and Application Form (QM1), which apply to all levels
- the Information Workbook and General Workbook, which are specific to the level applied to
- CASE-1 forms, which you will only need to complete if applying to the General with Casework level. Please note there are specific CASE-1 forms for each category of work at the Casework level.
Information Workbook
This Workbook relates to the Quality Mark Information Standard. It is relevant to any organisation which currently supplies information about the law or legal services to the community. It is also relevant to any organisation which has never previously supplied this type of information, but believes that to do so would benefit the local community.
This Workbook can be accessed from the Documents panel on the right hand side, and filled in and printed out online. You must have the full version of the Adobe Acrobat software (not just Acrobat reader) if you wish to save any information entered or changes made to the Workbook.
A step-by-step guide to the Quality Mark is also available, providing information for organisations wishing to apply for the Quality Mark at all levels of service provision.
