26 March 2012 - Deadline for submitting Invitation to Tender responses for CDS Direct services has passed
The deadline for submitting the Invitation to Tender for CDS Direct Services was 12 noon on 23 March 2012. Late responses cannot be accepted.
We will now be assessing the ITT responses and will notify Applicant Organisations of the results as per the Outline Timetable in Part 1 of the Invitation to Tender document.
16 March 2012 - Final FAQ document published with questions arising from the Invitation to Tender for CDS Direct services
As set out in our ITT document, we have today published our final Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document. This FAQ also includes the questions and answers published in the earlier version of the FAQ.
The deadline for questions about the ITT was 12 noon on 9 March 2012 (note this is referred to as the ‘End date for supplier clarification messages’) on the eTendering system. Questions of wider interest have been collated and answered in the final "CDS Direct FAQ" document. The FAQ document can be found in the Documents panel on the right hand side of this page
We are unable to answer questions relating to the ITT after the deadline of 12:00 on 9 March 2012.

Closing date for submission of the PQQ is 12 noon on Friday 23 March 2012.
7 March 2012 - Updated FAQ document published with further questions arising from the Invitation to Tender for CDS Direct services
As set out in our ITT document we are today publishing our updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document with new questions we have received arising from the CDS Direct ITT.
The final date for submitting any further questions about the ITT is 12 noon on 9 March 2012 (note this is referred to as the ‘End date for supplier clarification messages’) on the eTendering system. All questions must be submitted using the online secure messaging tool within the eTendering System.
A final FAQ document will be published on 16 March 2012.
Closing date for submission of the PQQ is 12 noon on Friday 23 March 2012.
27 February 2012 - First FAQ document published with questions arising from the Invitation to Tender for CDS Direct services

Questions that we consider to be of wider interest will be collated and answered centrally in writing to ensure that all interested parties have equal access to information in the answers. Answers to initial questions are published in the first FAQ document, which can be found in the Documents panel on the right hand side of this page. A final FAQ document will be published on 16 March 2012.

15 February 2012 - Invitation to Tender CDS Direct services
Today the LSC is inviting shortlisted Applicant Organisations to tender for a CDS Direct Contract.
Only Applicant Organisations shortlisted following the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) stage of this Tender have been invited to submit Tenders under this Invitation to Tender (ITT).
30 January 2012 - Notification of outcomes from PQQ Assessment
Today we are notifying Applicant Organisations of the outcomes of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) assessment.
For Applicant Organisations that have not been shortlisted to the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage, the letter will include details on how your PQQ response was assessed and the reason why you were unsuccessful on this occasion.
The letter will also include instructions for you to consider whether a right of appeal applies to your PQQ response and the appeal procedure. The deadline for submission of appeals is 12.00 noon on 6 February 2012. The appeal pro-forma is available in the documents panel on the right hand side of this page.
For Applicant Organisations whose PQQ response has been successful and who have therefore been shortlisted to the ITT stage, the letters will include information about the next steps in the tender process. It is important that Applicant Organisations follow any instructions given in these letters.
All notification letters will be sent to Applicant Organisations through the message boards in the LSC's secure eTendering system. Applicant Organisations should check the PQQ message boards for the CDS Direct tender regularly to ensure that they do not miss any important messages. If Applicant Organisations have not received notification of the outcome of their PQQ Assessment by Tuesday 31st January 2012 they should contact the LSC’s Central Commissioning Team through the PQQ message board for the CDS Direct tender.

7 December 2011: Important Information - Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) for delivery of CDS Direct service

A notice of an amendment to the Information for Applicants and the criteria for the CDS Direct tender can be found in the Documents panel on the right hand side of this page.
Applicant Organisations must open and read this attached document and take the necessary action outlined in the notice.
28 November 2011: CDS Direct tender opens
A tender process opened for CDS Direct contracts on 28 November 2011. These contracts start on 1 November 2012.
Current CDS Direct contracts end in July 2012 and will be extended until 31 October 2012.
Any organisation wishing to deliver CDS direct work from 1 November 2012 will need to apply for and be awarded a new contract.
This is a competitive tender process for contracts for all CDS Direct work.
Pre-Qualification Questionnaire
The initial stage of the CDS Direct tender process is the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ). The deadline for submission of the PQQ is 12 noon on Friday 23 December 2011.

Any questions about the content of the PQQ, or associated guidance, must be raised through the e-tendering system by 5pm on 9 December 2011.
Questions of wider interest will be collated and answered through a Frequently Asked Questions document that will be updated weekly and published in the documents panel on this page. A final Frequently Asked Questions document will be published on 16 December 2011.
Successful PQQ applicants will then be invited to submit a response to our Invitation to Tender.
Contracts begin on 1 November 2012.
Closing date for submission of the PQQ is 12 noon on Friday 23 December.
