In addition to your university careers service and LPC provider open days you can try:
- The Law Society and their Directory of Solicitors and Barristers
- Prospects - graduate jobs, postgrad study, graduate career information and advisory service
- Student guides to the legal profession e.g. Chambers and Partners Student Guide and the Training Contract and Pupillages Handbook
- Legal graduate recruitment directories such as Target Law and business-to-business directories such as Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, which are comprehensive client guides rather than purely student guides.

Future Lawyers Association
The Future Lawyers Association is aimed at people taking the first steps towards a legal career. It’s free to join and open to anyone over the age of 14 considering a career in law. As a member of the association you'll receive:
- A guaranteed place on their GDL or LPC (see eligibility requirements)
- A termly e-newsletter
- Legal training information, including careers advice
- Profiles of practising and trainee lawyers
Legal aid publications
- The Law Society Gazette and Legal Action are the two main magazines carrying job adverts for legal aid firms, but not all firms choose to advertise, particularly for trainee and paralegal posts.
